In a world where homelessness is an all-too-common reality, it can be easy to forget about those who are not as visible as those who sleep on city streets. Rural homelessness is a serious issue that affects many people who are often referred to as the "hidden homeless." These individuals do not have a permanent place to call home and are often forced to sleep in places that are out of sight, such as the woods.

However, there are those who are working tirelessly to provide aid and support to rural homeless individuals. One such person is Pastor Matt Roberts of Brownville Baptist Church, who recently made a generous donation to DeSoto Cares Homeless Services.

Pastor Matt Roberts donated three months' worth of FPL payments to the organization, which will go a long way in helping those who are experiencing rural homelessness. The donation was made in collaboration with Mike Provau, Board President of DeSoto Cares Homeless Services, and was warmly received by the organization.

This generous donation is just one example of how individuals and organizations can come together to make a real difference in the lives of those who are experiencing rural homelessness. While it can be easy to overlook this issue, it is important to remember that there are people out there who need our help and support.

DeSoto Cares Homeless Services is committed to seeking solutions and coordinating services for the homeless, and donations like Pastor Matt Roberts' help to make that mission a reality. With the support of individuals and organizations alike, we can work towards providing aid and support to all those who need it, regardless of where they are located.
